Will the election for the president of the Korea Football Association 'Stop Shock' → 'Three-way War' collapse... Huh Jung-moo 'age restriction' variable

With the suspension of the election for the 55th president of the Korea Football Association, there is a possibility that various variables will arise. The three-way race could also collapse.

The Seoul Central District Court's Civil Affairs Department 50 (Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon) cited candidate Huh Jung-moo's request for an injunction against the Korea Football Association on the 7th.
Earlier last month, candidate Huh applied for a provisional injunction against the presidential election, saying, "The degree of unfair and opaque election management by the Korea Football Association and the Korea Football Association's Election Management Committee is very serious."

Candidate Huh cited that many of the electors' K-League coaches and players are scheduled for overseas training on the election day of the president of the Korea Football Association, so proper voting rights are not guaranteed.

He also pointed out that the committee formed a group of electors, 21 short of the regulation, because they failed to submit consent forms to provide personal information. The Korea Football Association formed and notified 173 electors, 21 short of the 194 in the regulation. The court also ruled in favor of Huh, saying, "We believe there is a serious procedural violation."

As the court cited the request for provisional injunction, the election for the 55th president of the Korea Football Association (KFA) was postponed. Shortly after the court announced the provisional injunction, the KFA said, "The election date has been temporarily postponed. We will announce it as soon as the schedule is established."

It is impossible to tell when the postponed election will be held. However, time is expected to be needed to compensate for all the issues pointed out by the court. An official from the Korea Football Association said through Star News, "The steering committee will see and discuss the decision and announce the changed schedule."

As the election schedule has been delayed, there is a possibility that variables may arise. Above all, the structure of the three-way race could collapse. Heo, the current president of the Korea Football Association, Chung Mong-gyu, and Shin Mun-seon, a visiting professor at Myongji University, have declared their candidacy. However, Heo could be excluded due to the age limit.

Candidate Heo was born on January 13, 1955 and is currently 69 years old, but if the election for the president of the Korea Football Association is held after January 13, he may not be able to participate in the election. The articles of the Korea Football Association state that "the candidate for presidential election must be under 70 years old on the day of the election."

However, candidate Heo expressed his "welcome" to the court's citation of the application for provisional injunction against the election despite the "disadvantage."

Candidate Heo said, "I knew that the age limit could be disadvantageous, but I thought more about the purpose of running for office, saying that I would reform the unfairness and opacity of the Korea Football Association. So I applied for an injunction at the risk of any future disadvantages," adding, "When I can't run again, 'better junior soccer players will come forward and help me as much as possible to reform the Korea Football Association and develop 메이저놀이터 Korean soccer." That is the role of the 'jinggeom bridge' that was announced in the declaration of candidacy."

If Heo cannot run, there is a way to unify the candidates with Shin. Earlier, Heo said positively about the unification, saying, "It would be possible if we all agree." If the two candidates, who have to compete, join forces, they can narrow the gap with Chung. Until now, it has been widely believed that Chung has the upper hand in the election race. However, the election situation has also plunged into fog due to the first-ever suspension of the election and the possibility of collapse of the three-way race.
